🌱 Real Learning Counts – Weekly Recap (Week 1)

Published on 2 March 2026 at 15:39

This week, learning showed up through play, curiosity, and hands-on exploration.

It looked like:
• setting up a messy tray outside with oobleck and ocean animals
• exploring senses, toes in, hands in, noticing hard, soft, and runny
• adapting play by adding trucks to follow toddler interests
• turning play into care, with an ocean animal “bath” in the water tray
• observing cause and effect as water was added to the oobleck
• a 3.5 year old noticing, wondering, and explaining what changed
• role-playing doctors, with Mummy as the patient
• free outdoor play in the sandpit
• guided crafting, creating a slinky dog with pipe cleaners to match our mini dachshund

No lessons were forced.
No outcomes were rushed.

Just children exploring, noticing, imagining, and making sense of their world.

This is real learning.
And it all counts
