Making the Start Feel Special

I created this resource because I wanted something special for my own child as we begin homeschooling.

The first day of school is often a big moment, and I didn’t want my child to miss out on that sense of excitement, pride, and belonging just because we’re learning at home.

So I put together gentle rituals, activities, and keepsakes to make the start feel meaningful. Not rushed, not pressured, and not tied to a calendar.

We’re actually putting our homeschool basket together tomorrow using things we already have at home, and we’ll likely start on Wednesday.

And that’s okay.

We homeschool.
